The Maui Wahine Strong program began in response to the heartbreak and devastation caused by the wildfires that swept through Maui on August 8, 2023. We realized that many women-owned small businesses were struggling in the aftermath, and we knew we had to meet them where they were, providing support and resources on their long journey to recovery.

Launched in August 2023, the Maui Wahine Strong program is dedicated to helping these resilient small business owners rebuild and thrive once again. We are committed to standing by Maui's entrepreneurs, assisting them not only in their recovery but also as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

Through our platform, ShopYWCA.com, we’ve been amplifying the voices of Maui’s small businesses, helping them share their stories and showcase their products to a nationwide audience.
